Dorothy M. Kompelien, age 96, of Bloomington, born May 7, 1923, and passed away on March 12, 2020, at the Minnesota Masonic Home. Dorothy grew up in Mpls. and graduated from Roosevelt H.S. in 1941. She married her husband, Silas in 1945 and raised her family in Bloomington. Dorothy owned Dorothy’s Dress Shop in Walker, MN, and retired to Harlington, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, Silas; daughter, Patty; sisters, Isabelle and Judy. Survived by sons, Wayne (Peggy), Larry (Jodi), Craig (Barbara); grandchildren, Julie, Nat, Jason, Shawn, Jenny, Ryan, Terri, Colin, Keith, Kory, Breanna; great-grandchildren, Alec, Reed, Wes, Bailey, Hayden, Justice, Saida, Jackson, Sophia, McKenna, Aidan, Theodore, and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 2nd at Morris Nilsen Chapel with burial at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
I miss my great-grandma and i will never forget her. she gave me her 3 speshol stuffed animals.
