  1. Lee Crane says:

Rest in peace, my friend. Duane and I were classmates in Dawson. In addition, he was my protector as an excellent offensive tackle and defensive nose tackle on our 1953-54 Blackjack football team. A great friend and teammate.

  2. Monica Lindstrom Nelson says:

Prayers for peace and comfort, Shari, Mark and families. Your dad was a legend at Richfield High School and both of your parents have been such a kind and loving presence at House of Prayer. Thinking of you!

  3. Glenice and Tom Jones says:

    Duane’s family,
So sad for your loss. Duane was a wonderful man. My most enjoyable memory was playing cribbage with him. Or wist, or buck, or “oh hell”, or any of the fun card games we enjoyed. The cribbage games at the Strom Reunion were my favorite. Duane, you will be missed.

  4. Mark Smeltzly says:

Duane was my physics teacher at RHS in 73. He was kind but firm in his expectation for excellence, always prepared, expecting his students to be the same. His passion for physics was visible through his white-shirt and tie exterior, always willing to help inquisitive students.
