How sad to hear this. I remember ‘Perky’ Earl from when I was a little girl. He was so full of excitement for the Lord and it was such a thrill as a child to watch him worship. I have thought of him so often through the years and invited him to reunions but he didn’t attend. Even though I haven’t seen him in years he has always been in my heart and thoughts. I will look forward to seeing him worship again some day in Heaven :)

Sorry to hear about Uncle Earl! I was able to talk to him at Christmas and we talked about old times. I hadn’t seen him for years, but he was always in my thoughts. I will look forward to seeing him in Heaven!

I’m sorry to hear about my dear “Uncle Perky…he’s been on my mind for the last several months and now I understand. My brother, Lyle, and I grew up in the same apartment building as Uncle Perky. I thought for years that he really was my “real” uncle! He always refereed all of us kids who lived there and he was always so loving and kind. He told me one day that Lyle and I could unlock his apartment (he showed us where he kept his key.) and watch Axel and his dog on TV as well as Casey Jones. Both of these shows had wonderful cartoons and we always came home from school every day to have our lunch and enjoy the cartoons. Yes, we always cleaned up afterwards! Uncle Perky was always so loving and kind! I think he really missed his own two daughters who lived quite a distance away. Years and years later, my husband and I built a new home just few miles from Uncle Perky’s church, Celebration, and we got to see him at church occasionally. What a wonderful person he was. Praise God he is now with the Lord! Uncle Perky, you and Lyle will see each other all the time now!
