Elizabeth Elaine "Betty" Borgen
Age 83, of Richfield. Passed away at her home in the early morning of February 23rd. Longtime Administrative Asst. in the Health Services Dept. of Fairview Southdale Hospital. Preceded in death by her daughter, Melanie Joy Borgen, her parents, Ernest and Louise Mueller and her three loving sisters. Survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, James “Jim” Eugene Borgen, children, Monte James (Susan) Borgen, Marshall Brent (Maria) Borgen and Melinda Beth Borgen. Grandchildren, Bradford Eugene Borgen, Heather Elaine Borgen and Allison Joy Borgen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Animal Humane Society of Minnesota

Monte Borgen has been one of my closest friends for over 40 years. I had such great respect and admiration for his Mother. Whenever I was in her presence she always treated me like a member of her family and for that I will always be grateful. She was a very wonderful Christian and an amazing Mother and Grandmother. I will miss her deeply. Rest in Peace Betty.
