Esther M. Challeen, age 96 of St. Louis Park, died July 29, 2013. Preceded in death by husband, Edmund; son, Sheldon; brothers, Bud and Karl Carlson; sisters, Lorraine Turner and Violet Anderson. Survived by sons, Gary (Bunny) Challeen and Tim Challeen; daughter, Mary Lou (Roger) Anderson; grandchildren, Steven (Ann) Challeen, Julie (fiance, Cory Titus) Hellman, Cheryl Lindstrom, Cathryn (Paul) Morrissey, Christine (Don) Lappin, Lisa (Kevin) Johnson and Tom (Marcy) Anderson; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
My Dearest Grandma,
If tears could build a stairway
and thoughts a memory lane,
I’d walk right up to heaven
and bring you home again.
No farewell words were spoken
No time to say good-bye,
You were gone before I knew it
And only God knows why.
My heart’s still active in sadness

Many, many wonderful memories fill my heart & soul Grandma. There never was a doubt how much you loved us. I’m heart broken but so relieved that you are finally at peace & out of pain. With much love I say good bye,

Too many beautiful holiday memories to mention. And the laughs went on and on and… Your kindness and generosity will never be forgotten.
