Evelyn Jane Monson

Evelyn Jane Monson (Berfeldt). Born March 24, 1923 in St. Paul, MN took her angel's hand to her eternal home on March 12, 2017, at the age of 93. Growing up in Newport, MN, Evie graduated from St. Paul Park High School, going on to secretarial school and then working at Northwestern Refining Co. There she met our widowed father, Chester Monson and they married on Nov. 23, 1957. Evie moved to Eden Prairie to help raise Chet's family of 4 and later having a son of their own, John. She is preceded in death by husband, Chester; parents, Mabel and Jasper Berfeldt; sister, Marge Cerney; brothers, Andrew and Jim Berfeldt; sister-in-law, Ruth Berfeldt; daughter, Carol E. Good; and infant great-grandson, Dawson Willie. Survived by sons, Chuck (Ihla), Tom (Ann), and John (Angela) Monson, daughter, Pat Von Eschen (John); 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends at the Dassel Lakeside Care Center. Our special thanks to the nurses and caregivers at the Dassel Lakeside long term care facility for the comfort and loving professional care they gave our mother.
