Fred Heinkel, Jr. age 86 of Edina was born July 16, 1934, in Minneapolis, MN to Fred, Sr. and Allie Heinkel and passed away on November 17, 2020. Fred served his country in the United States Army and was a retired machinist for Toro.
Fred is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary. He is survived by his daughters, Lorie (Steve Humphrey) King and Susan (Tom Altimus) Hahn; grandchildren, Amy King, Travis (Angela) King, Brandon King, Lisa (Craig) Ward, Janessa Kitzrow, Justin Hahn; great-grandchildren, Dylan King, Caitlyn Cermak, Carter Cermak, Amber Ward, Autumn Ward, Tyler Ward; and sister, Donna (Jim) Stephens.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the interment with military honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will be private.
