Irene Grace Mayer, age 96, of Edina. She was born June 9, 1917 in McVille, ND and raised in Kloten, ND, moving to Minneapolis when she was 19. Survived by Albert "Al" Mayer, her husband of 69 years; daughter, Julie Arnott and husband, Gregory; son, John Mayer and wife Fhun; grandchildren, Darrin Kamon and wife, Sandra, and Jody Kamon and husband, Ryan Jensen; great-grandchildren, Luke and Broc Kamon and Aidan and Rowan Jensen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sigurd and Julia Krogh, her first husband, Robert Louis Stevens, grandchildren, Haakon Mayer and Sigfrid Mayer, and by brother, Warren "Buster" Krogh. Grace enjoyed opportunities to travel through Al's work and multigenerational trips. She was a loving woman of quiet strength and great faith, devoted to her family.
Memorials are preferred to Woodlake Lutheran Church or donor's choice.
