Gwendolyn L. Peterson

Gwendolyn L. "Gwen" Peterson, Born 6/16/20. Passed away 1/15/12. Graduate of Mpls. Central High School. Long time resident of South Mpls. She was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church for over 60 years. She enjoyed time with her family, summers at Third Crow Wing and winters at Vanderbilt Beach, Florida, and playing cards with the Mt. Zion "A" group. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Alice Johnson; husband, Lawrence O. Peterson; son, Gerald "Jerry" Peterson; daughter, Janice Andrews Schenk; son-in-law, Carl Schenk; sister, June McLean; sister-in-law, Janet Aslesen; and brothers-in-law, Chuck Aslesen and Neil McLean. Survived by daughter, Bonnie Peterson; daughter-in-law, Judy Peterson; grandchildren, Tracy (Kerry) Peterson, Penny (Tom) Vizina, Rick (Kris) Peterson and Jonathan (Dawn) Andrews; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Marvin (Audrey) Johnson; aunts, Judy Johnson and Mildred Drkula; and many nieces and nephews.
