Harlan C. Johnson “Poppi”

Harlan C. “Poppi” Johnson, age 95, of Richfield, died April 7, 2020. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict and was also a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. He retired after 30 years with the Minneapolis school system. He also worked many jobs after retirement including as a school bus driver for Pilgrim Lutheran School. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Margaret; children, Laurel (Erwin) Paulson, Jay (Patti), ; grandchildren, Christine (Robert) Heberle, Samuel Johnson, Melanie (Kamel) Al-Assaad; great-grandchildren Scott and Laura Heberle, Ava Al-Assaad. Preceded in death by parents John and Gladys Johnson; siblings Willard Johnson and Betty Corbett.
