Herbert N. Berzelius, Sr.

Herbert N. Berzelius, Sr., age 94. of Edina, passed away on January 15, 2020. Survived by daughter, Susan Berzelius; sons, Herbert Berzelius, Jr. (Nancy) and Robert Berzelius; granddaughters, Melissa Sarver Berzelius (Alise), Beth Berzelius, Kate Care-Wickham (Martin), Kjerstin Berzelius, Kara Martin (Kelly) and Anna Berzelius; great-grandchildren, Quinn, Paige and Hazel. Also, by his longtime friends Oral Fystrom and Lorraine Enger. He was preceded in death by parents, Edwin and Hulda Berzelius; wife, Velma; son, John; grandson Cory and brother, Earl.
Herb was an Army World War II veteran, stationed in the Pacific. He retired after 36 years at Minnegasco, ( now CenterPoint), completing his career as Buildings and Grounds Superintendent. He enjoyed boating on the St. Croix River with family, square dancing with friends, traveling in their motor home, his Masonic friendships at "Geezers" (coffee group), and a Wednesday burger and brew sith Stan at the 5-8 Club. Herb was a 57 years member of Cataract Masonic Lodge #2. Memorial service in the future.
