Gen – I worked with Hilmer in Hollandale before AL opened. We often talked about
Branson – and now I live near there. He was a great guy, great to work with and good
with our customers. You have our deepest sympathy.

We will keep you and your family in prayer!

When Hilmer and Genny would come to Eureka, the phone lines would light up along with the faces anxiously awaiting their visit! Menus were planned, basement refrigerators were stocked before the laughter and smiles began! These visits were so much anticipated! I remember seeing my parents and the rest of the family and friends so happy and having so much fun!! Those are such sweet memories for me!

I was on a flight leaving from Minneapolis when a man seated next to me asked if I was from Minneapolis. I explained were I lived and then asked the same of him. He told me he was from Albert Lea! I told him that my Dad’s cousin lived in Albert Lea for years. He asked me his name and when I told him, he said, “Hilmer and I had golfted together for years!” We had a good laugh at how small the world is! Mentioning Hilmer’s name brought a smile to his face just as it has for years in our neck of the woods!

Genny and family, you are in our hearts as you say goodbye to Hilmer. I know you have many memories that bring smiles. May those memories continue to live within you. Much Love, Carmen (Opp) & Mike Nelson

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. To live in the hearts of those we leave behind is to never die.
