Irene E. Troedson, age 92, of Richfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 2, 2013. She was born November 18, 1920, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Conrad and Signe (Olson) Westmark. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman; her brother, Elmer (Marjorie) Westmark; her sister, Mae (Hugh) Russell; and her special friend, Ernie Carlson. Irene is survived by her two sons, Richard (Rose Mary), of Otsego and Wesley (friend Jane Lang), of Richfield; grandchildren, Shawn and Lena Troedson; stepgrandchildren, Karen and Michael Danielson; and three great grandchildren.

Sorry to hear of your mother’s death. She was an amazing elder! She was also blessed to have lived at home all those years…thanks to her sons who helped her out so much! Eileen told us she saw Wes at the 40th high school reunion recently and that you were living with Irene so she could remain at home. May you both be comforted with good memories of your mother.

I’m so sorry to see this. We lived next door to Irene 1999~02. I was thinking of her today when I saw a redbird and decided to Google her. She was a sweet lady.
