John J. Hondl, age 93. Passed away on January 16, 2015. Born in Albany, MN on August 19, 1921. Longtime resident of Bloomington. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church for 65 years. He delivered Meals on Wheels for over 20 years, often to people younger than he was. Preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Agnes (Knapp) Hondl; sisters, Mary, Ann and Agnes; brothers, Matthew, George, Anthony and Mathias. Survived by his wife, Mary; children and their spouses, Kathryn (Allan) Iverson, Patricia (Mark Sakry) Hondl, Mary (Chuck) Nauman and Michael (Sheila) Hondl; grandchildren, Katie (Chris) Bellmont, Alysia Iverson, Emily (Marvin) Freitas, Garret (Samentha) Sakry, Tyler Hondl and Megan Hondl; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Edison, Javier and Lucia; brothers, Carl (Lorraine), Ralph, Anselm (Shirley), and Roman (Connie) Hondl; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lucille Hondl, Delrose Hondl, Thomas Dattilo, Jack (Jo) Haggenmiller, and Alice (Clem) Adelmann; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
