Juanita M. Duss, age 78, of Richfield, MN, passed away on December 31st due to lung cancer. Juanita was born in Boyd, WI on May 6, 1940. The oldest of ten children, she grew up on the family farm in Delmar Township and graduated from Stanley High School in 1958. She enlisted in the Women Army Corp and served for 3 years. She attended the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Geography and English. She went on to get her Master of Science Degree in Natural Resources at Ball University in Indiana. She resided in Chicago, IL, Tyler, TX, and Reno, NV. She later moved to Minneapolis/Richfield and worked for Hennepin County until her retirement. Preceded in death by her partner of 25 yrs, Clarence “Bud” Fields; parents, Fernando and Romilda (nee, Vandehey) Duss; and brothers, Michael and Kenneth. She is survived by brothers and sisters, Bernard, Eugene (Barb), Roger, Beverly (Doye) Sudduth, Carol (Lynn) Donkersgoed, Johanna, and Rosemary; plus numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Juanita and Bud traveled throughout the US in their RV and enjoyed boating on the Mississippi. Juanita loved to read, dance and was an avid MN Vikings fan. Special thanks to the Nurses, Social Workers and Care Givers of Health Partners Hospice and the J.A. Wedum Hospice staff for their loving support.
A private family burial will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

May I please get the info in the funeral. I considered Juanita a grandmother as she was with my grandpa 25 plus years. Ibwould like to pay my respects.
