Lillian M. Brustad (nee, Brethorst) went to her creator April 1, 2015 at the age of 93. She was the eldest child of Fred and Ruth Brethorst born on Nov. 29, 1921 in Buffalo Lake, MN. She lived on the farm for many years until she moved to Mpls and graduated from South High in 1939. She married Robert M. Brustad on Nov. 14, 1942. Preceded in death by husband; parents; brother, Norbert; and sister, Muriel Olson; survived by children, Kathleen (Robert) Beck, Sandra (Stephen) Stuart, and Robert D. Brustad; grandchildren, Nicole, Sarah, Scott, Susan, Shelli, and Wade; great-grandchildren, Megan, Mollee, Shane, Christina, Katlyn, Kalob, Slade, Jakob, Charlie, Henry, Clara, Jack and Ella; sister, Maybeth Christian; sister-in-law, Mildred; and many nieces and nephews. Private interment will take place in Backus, MN at a later date.
