Lillian Swan

Lillian Swan, age 98, of Richfield, passed away peacefully in her home on July 27, 2020. Lil loved to sing. Her musical career started in high school, singing duets with her sister, Syl, on the radio in Virginia, MN. She sang in the Minneapolis Sweet Adelines chorus and quartet and the Richfield Silver Notes chorus and trio. Her passions included reading and gardening. She also volunteered her time at House of Prayer Church in Richfield. Lillian was a dedicated University of Minnesota employee prior to retirement. She is preceded in death by parents, August and Hilja Paivarinta; sisters, Sylvia and Esther; brothers, Wilmer and Edmund; and son-in-law, Tim Peterson. Survived by son, John (Kristen) Swan; daughters, Bonnie Peterson and Kathleen (Jim) Johnson; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jodi, Molly, Meagen, Tracy, and Amy; six great-grandchildren; nephew, Gary; and nieces, Linda and Debra.

We were so fortunate to have her in our lives.
