Lisa Louise Olson (Grates)
Lisa Olson passed away peacefully on June 7th at age 58. Lisa is survived by her sons Zachary (Arden) and Jared Nelson, nephew Mike Grates (Jolene), and many friends and cousins who loved her. She is proceeded in death by her sister Tina Grates, and her parents Darlene Barry and Larry Grates.
Lisa had many passions, she loved Minnesota sports particularly the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota North Stars. She adored I Love Lucy, even naming her beloved dog Lucy. But above all else, Lisa loved her family and friends. She was a devoted mother to her sons and had many friends new and old that were a huge part of her life. She endured many struggles in her 58 years but she faced adversity with unfailing humor and hope.
A memorial will be held for Lisa at Minnehaha Park Picnic Wabun from 4:30PM - 7PM on Friday, August 19th, 2022. We invite all who knew and loved her to come share stories and say farewell. We ask if you are able to wear purple in her honor, or better yet your favorite Vikings jersey.
