Lutherine M. Bjornlie - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

December 3, 1921 - February 10, 2014


Lutherine M. Bjornlie (nee, Lenker), age 92 of Richfield.  Passed away on February 10th after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.  She was born to Dr. John and Nora Lenker on December 3, 1921 in Minneapolis.  She graduated from Roosevelt High School.  She married the late Virgil Bjornlie on October 31, 1940.  They moved to Richfield in 1951.  "Lou" attended the University of Minnesota and graduated cum laude from Macalester College in 1959 with a BS degree in education.  She taught kindergarten at Sheridan Hills Elementary School in Richfield for 27 years.  Lutherine is survived by her three children; John, Jim (Jackie), and Mary Lou Chamberlain; six grandchildren, Jason Bliss, John and Mike Chamberlain, Andrew, Dan (Molly) and Katrina (Joe) McCarney; and four great-grandchildren, Jakob and Lucas Bjornlie, and Gabriella and Theodore McCarney; and nieces and nephews.
