Margaret Ann Johnson

Age 92, of Apple Valley passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 7, 2023. Margaret grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from South High in 1948; her South High friends remained an important part of her life for over 60 years. Upon graduating, Margaret worked at Sears on Lake Street until her retirement after 41 years. After retirement, she spent many fun filled times travelling with the Sears Retiree Group. Margaret was also a talented artist and loved painting chinaware, making cards and bookmarks, and handcrafting pictures and portraits for her family and friends. Her involvement with Bethel Lutheran Church was lifelong and fulfilling and she participated in several of Bethel Lutheran Circle Groups helping with the Craft sales and making quilts for Operation Love. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Ruby Johnson; sister, Virginia Pearl; grandnephew, Alex; and great-grandnephew, Francis. She is survived by nephew, Robert; niece, Jackie (Kevin); brother-in-law, Jack; many other grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Margaret will be remembered for her willingness and generosity to help others and always striving to live life to the fullest. She cherished spending time with her family and she will be deeply missed.

    Margaret was my mother’s cousin. Leoda Endres Johnson. I remember her telling us how much she liked to spend time with Margaret. Deepest Sympathies.
