Marian V. Hargreaves - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

January 8, 1938 - February 8, 2022

Marian V. Hargreaves, Beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on February 8, 2022 at age 84. Marian was proud of her long career including stints at Archer Daniels, IDS, Control Data, Burnet Realty and General Motors, from which she retired. Unable to sit still in retirement, she took a position as office manager at Richfield Flowers and Events, where she worked until age 77. She loved creating beauty in the word around her, whether through flower arrangements, a perfectly set table, or adding just the right accessories to her outfit. She had a very special love for her three granddaughters and would do anything for them. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and looked forward to being reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Alan. We take comfort in knowing that they are dancing together once again.
Marian is preceded in death by husbnad, Alan; infant grandson, Thor; sister, Sue Holte and nephew, Kyle Anderson. Survived by sons, Craig (Kirsten) Hargreaves and Kevin (Lynn) Hargreaves; grandchildren, Emma, Lauren and Kari; brother, Bill (Dianne) Holte and sister, Kathy Benson; many nieces, nephews and friends.

You will be so missed. I have unbelievable memories of you. My family and yours were together every weekend at the lake. So many times I mistook you for my mom because you looked the same. I cherish all the memories of us growing up with Craig and Kevin. I loved all the times our families spent together. Until I see you again. Love Always.

To the Hargraves family and Holte family.
I went to school with Marian, worked with her at a resturant downtown Mpls., sang in a church choir with her and spent a lot of time at her home. She has a great family and was a very good friend. I will always cherish the memories.

I was just recently made aware of Marions passing. I grew up in the neighborhood off 69th and we all hung around together. Marion and Alan were the kindest, most wonderful people to ever know. Their sons Craig and Kevin were apart of our ” gang” I knew that Alan had passed and now I see that Marion has too. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends at their loss. May God be with her through her new journeys. Rest in Peace.
