Maybelle V. Carlson

Maybelle V. Carlson, 96, loving sister and aunt died June 5, 2017 in Edina, MN, from natural causes.

Maybelle Carlson was born January 27, 1921 on the family farm south of Antler, North Dakota to Tennis and Gelina Carlson. She was the fifth child of nine siblings growing up in the trials of the Great Depression. She attended Sherman township elementary school and graduated from Mohall High School in 1939.
She completed her teaching degree at Minot State Teachers College and taught in several rural North Dakota districts. Upon moving to Golden Valley Minnesota in 1953, she began a long career impacting the lives of hundreds of second grade children in Robbinsdale, MN District 281. In her free summers from teaching, Maybelle enjoyed traveling throughout the world.

She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed, but we rejoice that she now resides in the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, for a new life in eternity. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Ernest Carlson, Hartley Carlson, Vernon Carlson and three sisters: Gladys Hofland, Lyla Elefson, and Vivian Adams. She is survived by two brothers: Harold Carlson of Grand Forks, ND and Lester Carlson of Richfield, MN and thirty nieces and nephews.
