Merlin D. "Mick" Byers, age 90, of Richfield. He retired from the U.S. Post Office. He was an Army veteran serving in the South Pacific during WWII. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church since 1952, and also a member of the 98th St. Racquet Club. He is the husband of Marge and father to Gregg (Marge), Steve (Joyce), and Rick (Nancy) Byers; grandchildren, Miki (Kristel), Joe (Kayla), Thomas (Kara), Patrick, and Evan (Katie) Byers; brother-in-law, Bill (Barb) Girvin and nieces Jody, Pam, Diane, Maureen and their families. He was a loving husband, great dad and goofy grandpa.
