Mildred M. Stover - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

April 1, 1918 - July 28, 2015

Dear God,
Please be on the lookout for Mildred Stover, a.k.a Mil, Millie, Toots, mom, and grandma. She'll be arriving at your gate, not on foot but in a van loaded with irises and lilies. She may have other plants too, that she bought with her Bachman's employee discount card. Although she's a small wisp of a woman, she's a fun loving spitfire. She's eager to play a game of cards, have a drink, go out for lunch (slice of pie, hold the sandwich), and go for a dip in the lake. Heaven is about to get a lot more fun with her there. In the meantime, there will be many loved ones raising a glass and toasting her amazing 97 years on this earth, including the following: her brother, Orien; her sons and daughters-in-law, Ken (Becky) and Dan (Bonnie); her four beautiful granddaughters (she'd insist that we add this qualifier) and their husbands, Sheri (Jason), Michelle (Chad), Jenny (Scott), and Kelsey (Zac); her great-grandson, Alex; and her granddogs and grandcat.
Although we will miss her, we'll continue to follow her example of "living life today."
With love,
Millie's friends and family

P.S. As a lifelong gardener and past-president of BOTH the MN Iris and Peony Societies, she's about to give your gardens a makeover. Be prepared to weed!

P.P.S. Please let others know that memorials aren't necessary, but if people choose to give money in Millie's name, we ask that they be sent to Meals on Wheels.

Our deepest sympathy to your families. Rays mom, Anna McCuskey Strand knew her & her husband , they all went to school together and often commented about it. I’ve heard about her beautiful flowers and all her fun Thanksgiving weekends playing cards and keeping everyone up past their bedtime. She loved a party and her family. I know she will be deeply missed. God Bless you all.
