Philip Peterson - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

Philip M. Peterson, age 103 of Heritage of Edina.  Died on November 7th.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Marie; his companion of later years, Eleanor; and his two sisters, Leone Dodge and Vernette Gaylord.  He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kendra and David St. Aubin of Marion, MA; Eleanor's children,  Philip Fernkes, AZ, Dennis Fernkes, Edina MN and Jean Ziebart, WI; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.  He was born January 22, 1910 in Chisago City, MN.  Graduated from Moose Lake High School and St. Olaf College (1933) where he was a member of the Blue Key National Honor Fraternity.  He was a traveling representative for 25 years for the Dairy Supply Company and 10 years for the Lincoln Suppliers.  He retired from Hercules in 1975.  He shared his love of fishing with many younger relatives.  he was an accomplished gardener who won many blue ribbons and an award for outstanding service (1992) as a member of the Men's Garden Club of Minneapolis.  In 1998 he received the Ageless Hero award for Exemplifying Vitality from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota.
