Rita (Grundmeyer) Conrad was born April 13, 1936 in Sleepy Eye to Leonard and Opal (Le Bert) Grundmeyer. She was baptized, confirmed and married at St. Johns Lutheran Church. She graduated from Sleepy Eye High School in 1954 and from Mankato Commercial College. She married Dean Conrad in 1955. They lived in New Ulm for 9 years, then transferred to Mason City, Iowa, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and then to Bloomington, Minnesota in 1968. She retired from Hollenback and Nelson, Inc. after 22 years of service. Survived by her husband Dean; son, William (Kelly); and three grandchildren, Michael Bercu, Ashley Conrad and Benjamin Conrad. Preceded in death by her daughter, Catherine; and her parents, Leonard and Opal (Le Bert) Grundmeyer.

I am so glad that we had the opportunity to get together at St. Peter for girls lunch and also for the mini reunion at the Orchid Inn in Sleepy Eye a few years ago.
