Robert W. Johnson age 78 of Bloomington. Born September 25, 1935 and passed away on October 1, 2013. Robert was a retired Minneapolis Police Lieutenant with 35 years of service who was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Delores. Survived by sons, Mike (Patti) and Steven (Cheryl); grandchildren, Allison, Logan, Paige, and Erik; and sister, Mary Lou (Fred) LeMieux.
I was a very close friend of Bob growing up and I just wanted to pass on my condolences to the family on his passing. Bob and Delores were both the very type of person anyone would want as true friends. Friendship is special. I’m only sorry I lived so far away in Sterling Heights,MI. After leaving home in 1958. I only visited Bob and Delores on rare ocasions. The last time Bob gave Janet and I a trip though south Mpls to see all of the changes that had taken place. Thanks for the memories to a special person. Bob, Jim Lavell and myself spent most of our free time playing together, Baseball, basketball and football in the late 40’s. These memories are lasting.
