Ronald Gene Johnson - Morris Nilsen Funeral Chapel

January 22, 1938 - March 9, 2018


Ronald Gene Johnson, age 80 of Edina peacefully passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on March 9th surrounded by his loving family. A life long Minnesotan, Ron was born in Minneapolis on January 22, 1938. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1956, followed by Dunwoody Institute. Ron honorably served in the United States Army. He also was a member of the TCA for many years. His entrepreneurial spirit and passion for problem solving led him to create and build two successful businesses. Respected in his industry and loved by his family and countless friends. He will be forever missed. Preceded in death by infant son, Terrance; his parents, Clarence and Bernice Johnson. Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by wife, Sharon A. (Lord) Johnson; daughters, Deborah (Michael) Brocker, Elizabeth Johnson and Rebekah (Mike Paczkowski) Quinlan; grandchildren, Benjamin (Courtney), Jennifer (Phillip), Matthew (Tianna), Johnathan (Courtney Lark), Joshua (Amanda), Danielle, Bethany, Rachel, Zechariah, Grant, Michael Jr., Ryan and Reid; a great-grandson, Tristan; as well as many nieces, nephews and loving friends.

The family would like to thank the staffs at Abbott-Northwestern, Fairview Southdale and the Mayo Clinic for all their kind and compassionate caregiving.

Memorials may be directed to the donor's favorite charity in memory of Ron.
