Russell W. Fossen, age 83, of Richfield, passed away at home on January 16, 2013 surrounded by his family, due to Alzheimer's Disease. Preceeded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Cal and Cecil and 2 sisters, Joyce and Lorraine. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Elizabeth; sons, Tom Fossen ( Pam ), Doug Fossen ( Evonne ), and Mike Fossen ( Kathy; daughters, Barb Anderson, Joan Mithun ( Jim ), and Sue Weiss ( John ); 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Kaye Mason and Jeanne Bell; special neighbor, Joyce Bommersbach as well as many other relatives and friends. Russ loved the outdoors - golfing, fishing, hunting and attending all the events of his grandchildren. Russ worked on the railroad in his early years and was later employed in Public Relations with law firms affiliated with United Transportation Union. He was active in the community and helped build the East Richfield Little League Baseball fields and served as President for many years. He was the Athletic Director for the American Legion Post 435.
