Ruth Miller Davis died Tuesday January 5, 2021. She was 95 years old. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Robert "Bob" Davis, her parents, Frieda and Marcus Miller, her siblings Alberta (John), Marcus (Betty), Dorothy (Glen), her brother-in-laws Myron and Jim, and her sister-in-law Myrna. Survived by children, Linda (Steve) Kuehn, Bob Davis (Elin Schold) and Greg (Cheryl) Davis; grandchildren, Lillian, James, Paul, Disan (Illya), Erik (Amy), Sarah and Michelle; great-grandchildren, Astrid, Andre and Anika; and other relatives and friends.

Ruth worked at US Bank Edina as a proud member of the bookkeeping department until she retired. When Ruth retired, she quickly filled her schedule with volunteer efforts. She delivered Meals on Wheels for many years. She took on leadership responsibilities with the lady’s circle at Richfield Methodist that was responsible for putting on events like funeral receptions. She started volunteering at a local food shelf, VEAP when it opened. She answered phones one morning a week for over 27 years, finally retiring only a few years ago. Ruth was an exceptionally skilled knitter, creating intricate patterns on sweaters, afghans, hats and mittens. In her later years she knitted possibly hundreds of finger puppets and dolls that she donated to local hospitals for sick children.

Ruth’s memorial service will be streamed Friday, January 15th at 11:00 AM.
