Kris I’m so sorry for your loss, I know what is like to loose a parent, no matter how young or old they are, if you want to talk I will send you my phone number, privately, but your Dad is now in the wings of the Angels in God’s home. No more pain and suffering.
Again, my sincere condolences to you, Josh and the family. Love u guys.

    • Kris says:

Thank you, Rosa. I know you have been going through a tough time, too, and I feel your empathy. I also told Josh that you wrote to us and he thanks you as well. I will give you a call.

  3. Karen (Mares) Burke says:

Kris, I don’t ever remember meeting your dad back when we worked at Target or went to the U together, but my heart and prayers go out to you. No matter how long they live, I’m not sure we’re ever ready to lose our parents. I hope your husband and sons are a great comfort to you, pulling you through. Peace and love to you and yours.

    • Kris says:

Thank you, Karen. Your kind words mean a lot to me. I know you know how feels to lose a sibling, and I wish I had known how to reach you at the time to share my condolences for your loss as well. It has been about a month since he passed away, but I still read the cards and online comments frequently. They have the power to sooth and help me reflect on his life.

He wrote a WWII memoir that was published and is also in the Minnesota History Center. It is hard to understand everything about him and his generation but it did give me a glimpse of the kind of person he was.

      Kris

  5. Gloria Varner says:
