Vernon P. Fischbach, age 86 of Richfield. Born near Lake Henry in Stearns County. Survived by his wife, Regina (Jean) and 3 children, Gary (Mary), Jeff (Cathy) and Linda (Jim) Melssen; and 6 grandchildren; sisters, Aurelia Fuchs, Doris Hess, and Arlene Raeker; and nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, John P. and Christine; brothers, Harold, Ralph, Jerome, Nick and Clarence. Vern worked for 55 years before totally retiring; 40 years with US Bank, Business Administrator at St. Peter's Catholic Church for 6 years and 9 years managing the credit union at the Knights of Columbus. Vern enjoyed sports. He coached Little League and girls softball after playing amateur baseball for Lake Henry. He was active at St. Peter's Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was the Faithful Navigator for the Fourth Degree Knights. He was also past president of the Board of Directors at Lake Shore Drive Condos.

Prayers and thoughts to all of Vernon’s immediate family and especially to Jean. Vernon was a great husband, dad, and uncle to so many of us. We surely appreciated his historian efforts at keeping track of such an ever growing huge family. It’s hard to believe that all 6 of the Fischbach brothers have now passed on…. to be re-united in Heaven. Rest in Peace!
