Virginia Josephine Vinyon Sanford of Richfield, passed away peacefully Friday, February 19, 2016 at the age of 95. Born on October 7, 1920, she was the only child of Tony and Elizabeth Vinyon. Preceded in death by husband, Richard; son, Robert; and daughter Cathy Pavelko. Survived by her son, Richard (Peggy) Sanford; daughter, Debbie Erickson; daughter-in-law, Nancy Sanford; son-in-law Mark Pavelko; grandchildren, Lisa (Todd) Stahl, Kris Thayer, Heather (Dan) Schmid, Molly McIntyre, Dan (Dawn) Sanford, Erin Sanford, Betsy Sanford, Anders (Miriah) Erickson, Amy (Pat) Rutten, Thomas (Alissa) Erickson, Joseph (Alicia) Pavelko, Tony (Gina) Pavelko; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 and soon to be 2 great-greatgrandchildren. Virginia loved and appreciated her family more than anything else in her life. A very special thank you to everyone at the Richfield Senior Suites for the loving care she has received for the past 6 years. Interment Resurrection.

I have such fond memories of our Aunt Virgie…SO many good times.Wish there could have been more know we missed out on seeing her beautiful smile and her WONDERFUL cooking Once we moved to CA.
SO glad I got to see her and spend a little time with her last March thanks to our Minnesota family.
She will be missed by all who knew her,Judy
Thanks and praise to God and all of our MN family for sharing Aunt Virgie with us for so many years. She was a second mom to us during our years in Richfield. All of our extended Alaska family will miss her.
