Wayne D. Magnuson, age 69, of Bloomington, passed away on March 7th with his family at his side. Wayne loved the outdoors, especially camping, running marathons and visiting National Parks all over America. Survived by his loving wife, Jo; children, Sarah (Steve) Baker and Allen (Sarah) Magnuson; grandchildren, Sierra, Parker, Josie and Charlee Jo; siblings, Ronald (Patricia), Glen (Debbie), Allen (Kim), and Keith (Kathy), Carol (Tim) Chandler, and Debbie (Dave) Weber; as well as other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
The family would like to thank the staff at N.C. Little Hospice for all of their care and support during Wayne's time there.

I am so sorry for your loss. I’ve been thinking a lot about Wayne recently and all the fun times we had together. One of our choir trips to Hawaii both Wayne and I went scuba diving together (rental spot on the beach); Wayne wasn’t able to put the respirator in his mouth and go under-water; he would come up gasping for air, we all had a great laugh. He was truly like a second father to me and will be greatly missed. I love you all and am sending thoughts and prayers your way during this time.
